Lost

Is it just me and does this season seems super short? Very annoying cliff hanger of a season finale. I guess we’ll get all the answers next year…

Survivor

We’ve never been so happy of having Jeannie’s guy getting voted off ever since we started watching the show! Coach… What a ridiculously stupid guy! But I have to say he’s funny though, made us LOL all night. We were super glad that he’s finally off even though it meant that Jeannie lost. I guess we’ll find out who’s the winner this Sunday!

Life Update

Sorry for the lack of updates. Our lives have been busy as usual with Lorelai and everything related. We are still alive, however, and here are some updates of what we have been doing:

We did some laundry over the past weekend. Lorelai helped.
Toothpick is a ball-less, whiny, and now fruity dog.
Lorelai grew her first 2 teeth. Now everything goes to her mouth.
Lorelai woke up Monday at 2am, and didn’t sleep till 4am. We had an awesome Monday.
We are now completely caught up to the current Lost episode. Now it’s kinda annoying to wait for new ones each week.

Life as usual. Rock on!

Our Recent Lack of Update Is Due to…

Us busy watching the Lost DVDs… And what a tiring job it is! Last weekend we blasted through Season 1, which is 24 episodes in 2 days (maybe a couple during the week). Whoa, we didn’t know we can get so tired from just sitting on our butts watching TV! At the end of Season 1 our eyes were so tired and we knew we are going to be super lazy at work on Monday (and we were, and our bodies were sore too!) But we couldn’t wait to start on Season 2! What a great show! Jeannie is kinda mad that I got her started watching it, but now we just want to keep going… We are on Season 2 now and I am predicting another tiring weekend ahead (although we are making plans to go out so we don’t bum through the whole weekend).

In other unrelated news, I just upgraded the Blog to WordPress 2.5, and WOW, what a nice new interface! It’s a pretty awesome FREE blogging tool, so if you are not already, use it/update it/switch over!

Labor Day Weekend

We have been so exhausted these days that I have been too lazy to do any updates, or anything else for that matter. Sleeping only 3~4 hours at a time for a prolonged period will take a toll on you really really soon.

Jeannie & I really welcomed the 3-day weekend since we finally could have some time to get some real rest, but we were just so exhausted that it went by like a blur and we didn’t really remember what we did… I kinda remember everything in a haze and was completely unfocused the whole weekend. I think they had Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations marathon on Labor day, and we just ended up watching it the whole day (very cool show if you like food and travel). Basically we sat, watched TV, nap, and fed Lorelai.

Oh yeah, Lori’s uncle & aunt, aka Jeannie’s brother & sister-in-law, aka Kai & Selina all the way from New York visited! It was good to see you guys and thanks for visiting Lori!

Baby Einstein = Not?

New research shows that Baby Einstein might better be named Baby Paul Shore

I have to admit that I have seen these at BabiesRUs and had thought that they would be great ~~babysitters~~, err educational aids. Appearantly they are not such good ideas after all since a study came out basically stating that kids under 2 who watches these videos are actually ~~dumber~~, err I mean learn less words, than their counterparts…

Very interesting indeed… Here’s what they say:

Babies who watch the videos are less verbally proficient than those who do not; researchers found that for every hour that an infant between 8 to 16 months old spends watching a brain DVD, he understands, on average, 6 to 8 fewer words than a kid who didn’t do Einstein.
