Thanks Jeannie for surprising me with an awesome gift this year for Father’s Day!  You are the best!

I got to fly a really cool plane and did some really extreme acrobatic moves from Skythrills, who’s actually right near my office.  We had a casual briefing before the flight where the guy explained to me what to do in case we need to jump out of the plane or crash into the ocean, which of course put our minds into ease.  We then flew off to the ocean to start our moves (it only took like 5 mins to get to the ocean when it usually takes us more than an hour in a car without traffic).  I actually got to control the flight stick and did the moves that we talked about during the briefing, and it was just really awesome and thrilling (har har!).  We are supposed to get a copy of the video back of what we did and I’ll see how hard it would be to post it, since I don’t really know how to describe what we did (loops, turns, up-side-down, etc…)

It lasted about 45 minutes, but by the end of it I was at the verge of barfing and was trying really hard to hold it it when the instructor landed the plane.  I felt like that for the rest of the day and had to kept on chewing on ginger candy since that was supposed to help (it didn’t, really).

But what fun!
