This past Saturday my work took us out for dinner and a show, which served like a year-end party sort-of. This year we went to a restaurant call Parc, which is near the Pantages Theater (about 0.6 miles away). The dinner was at 6pm, so we thought leaving at 4:50pm would take us there with plenty of time to spare. We were so wrong. Traffic on 101 was horrible, and we barely made it there.
The interior of the restaurant was really nice, and looking at the menu, their price seem reasonable. But upon ordering, the waiter kept warning us that everything is “tapas style”, which equals to “same price, 1/4 of the regular portions”. Everyone had to order 2+ dishes. The food was good, but it felt like you are paying 2x for 1/2 as much of food (I got steak and tuna tartar, Jeannie got surf & turf and spring rolls). It wasn’t a good feeling, but hey, the company is paying, so I let it go :)
Here’s us & my 2 bosses:
After dinner we headed to the Wicked musical at the Pantages. Show was sold out like they said, and super crowded, but it was really nice and fun. Both Jeannie & I enjoyed it. This was actually the 1st night where Jeannie & I went out after Lorelai was born, so it was extra nice. Hopefully we’ll be able to do some more of these soon.
