As promised, I attempted to carve a pumpkin for Lorelai’s first Halloween, and to prepared, we went to the neighborhood Albersons to get a pumpkin saw. There was a $1 regular cheapo one and a $4.99 motorized electric saw (awesome, I didn’t know they make these). But since we only spent $1.99 on the pumpkin, Jeannie didn’t feel it was necessary to get the electric saw (I felt different obviously, but oh well). Went home to get started:

Things started out OK for 2 mins, and that’s when the cheapo saw broke in half… *ahem* I told you so *ahem*

OK, I am not going to go back to Alberson to get another saw, so I just pulled out one of the cheapo steak knives we had, and tried to go to town, when only after 30 seconds the knife popped out of its handle…

WT!?!? Stupid… I ended up finishing it up with my trusty Leatherman.

This concludes our pumpkin carving episode. Hope you enjoyed it, and Happy Halloween!

LOL! loved the animated expression and text insert. I think u did a great job carving that pumpkin, especially after not one but TWO knifes broke on you. I bet Jeannie’s intention was to test your skill. Lorelai looks so cute next to the pumpkin!!
