So we took both Toothpick & Stinky (our dog & cat) in to our vet last night for their annual shots, thinking that it would just be a quick checkup and we will be done. Toothpick is fine, being a non-pure-breed and all, but the doc was a bit concerned about Stinky, since he lost about 1lb since last year and that’s a lot for his size (~15% of his weight).
Doc: “I would do a blood test if he was my cat”
Us: “ok…” (GOD DAMNIT!)
So today I got a call today with the results : “Stinky’s blood work looks perfectly ok, he’s healthy, nothing to worry about.” GOD DAMNIT. We just spent $100 to learn that our cat is skinny, thanks!
Ok, we got the preferable result that we wanted, but complaining about it makes us feel just a tiny bit better about the $100 down the drain.
