Lorelai @ Lake Elsinore, then with Elmo

by Jack · No Comments

2 weekends ago we went to Lake Elsinore since it was not that far away from Chino Hills.  But what a depressing town…  Pretty much dead with lots for sale signs.  There’s really nothing much to do there if you don’t own a boat.  Poor choice of location on my part.  Here she is by the lake:

Last weekend there’s some kind of small fair by Costco sponsored by someone at Chino Hills, we don’t really know or care, but they have free balloon animals!  Lorelai got an Elmo and she was really happy about it for about 25 minutes!

Bailout Dollar at Work

by Jack · No Comments

I don’t understand how this crap ever got passed when more than 90% of the people opposed it.  I suppose the congress is representing someone other than the people who elected them.  Check out how the bailout money is being spent:

The St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, California, was the site of a week-long luxury retreat for executives of the AIG insurance company, who headed there less than a week after the federal government committed $85 billion to bail out the company.

Awesome (btw not very suprising at all).  Ok, I think I’ll stop now.  I am being depressing.

Check Out Flavor Hub!

by Jack · 1 Comment

Congrats to Howzer (officially my god-brother-in-law, isn’t that a mouthful?), but is just a cool guy in general, who just launched his brand new food blog/site/recipes hub/socal hub — Flavor Hub.  If you like food, make sure to stop by to check it out, and sign up to show support!  I am just figuring it out, but it looks like a cool site with lots social functions built in.  Sounds like fun if you can get a group of your friends to join in and cook together!

The Bailout

by Jack · 1 Comment

I am no expert or anything, but the way I look at it, it’s not making any sense to me.

Some rich dude tells lots other not-so-rich dudes that they can make lots money if they give him all their money to invest.  The rich dude then spent all the money and now has no way to pay the other dudes back.  Now the US governmet is asking us, the taxpayers, to pay of all the debts of the rich dude so he can get off free and clear and leave all the debt to us.  Why?  Why are people even considering it?  No matter how you work it, the debt has to be paid.  The government want the taxpayers to pay for it saying it’s good for the economy. (BTW, it’s not like we have any money anyway since we are way in red.  So they are just going to pay for it by printing money out of thin air…  Way to go!)

If your friend max out his CC to the point where he can’t even make minimun payments, would you get another CC with a higher limit to pay it off, under YOUR name??? (Your friend tells you it will be good for the both of you in the long run!)

Lorelai’s MyGym Activities

by Jack · No Comments

Last night we rushed home from work just trying to make one of Lorelai’s MyGym classes during the week. Rushing back was tiring, but staying in class with her for an hour was even more tiring! She didn’t really want to follow directions and just went around in her own way. After we got home I think I literally passed out on the floor for a 15 minute power nap.

Here she is in class last night:

Chino Chilli Cook Off

by Jack · No Comments

Yesterday we went to a Chino Firefighter Chilli cook off that we saw on the newspaper.  The thing was from 10am to 4pm, but we had to wait for Lorelai to take her daily power nap before we can leave.  By the time we got there, all the chilli were gone :(  (We got there around 2pm)  The BBQ sure did look good though, too bad I was already too full from lunch to try any.

The fair wasn’t that big, as we expected, but there was a station for pony riding.  We put Lorelai on to give her a try, and she loved it.  Fun times.  After riding 4 times (we didn’t know how else to spend the tickets), we stopped by Joghurt again (only because it was on the way) to get some sugar injections.

Here are the pictures:

Discovery Science Center on Labor Day Weekend

by Jack · No Comments

Finally had some time this weekend to do some picture processing, so here it is.  We decided to take Lorelai to the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana just to walk around on Labor Day Weekend, and hey, Jeannie gets Teacher’s discounts!  Good deal.

As usual, Lorelai wasn’t too interested in the stuff there, but she had fun watching all the kids running around. (Click on the picture or here for the Gallery)
