Since we got free tickets to Legoland from Jeannie’s co-worker, we kinda HAD to go so that we are not wasteful. Decided that Labor Day weekend is going to be as good of a time as any, and woke up at around 4am just to get the kids ready to go… After all was said and done, we got there at around 8am, but still too early… We found out at the parking lot entrance that the park doesn’t open until 10am… yay…
Finally got in, and we tried to hit all the rides. The wait time was generally not that bad, around 30 minutes max. Both Lorelai & Lance had lots of fun, but Jeannie and I were ready to head home around lunch time (since we woke up so early)… But still, being the excellent parents that we are, we stuck around till we went through the whole park.
Lance was being a chicken as usual and got really scared on any rides that moves above 5 mph, while Lorelai is starting to enjoy faster rides and wanted to go back for more. I am really getting old since after riding on a kid roller coaster ride with Lorelai I felt nauseous for the rest of the afternoon… A disgrace!
Left the park around 5pm, and fell asleep during the drive home several times. We had to chill out at home for the rest of the weekend to recover.

Last day of the summer before Jeannie had to go back to work :( Jeannie decided to take the kids out for a day of beach, and I joined them after work.
Kids’ Verdict: Love it! Must do it again!

Summer vacation is almost over, so we felt that we owed it to the kids to take them out somewhere… Thanks to Katherine, we got some cheap/free tickets to Disney!
We got to the park at around 9am, and decided to head to the new Cars Land. Geez the line was soooo loooong… We waited 3.5 hours just for the Cars ride, under the hot sun. The ride was pretty good, but I don’t think I’ll wait in line for that long again…
Trying to get the tickets worth, we went on as many rides as we could, and stayed until the 9pm World of Color show. As you can see, kids pooped out soon after that. (I was pooped out after the 3.5 hour wait and ready to go home. But I stuck around, for the kids… You know I am a cool dad like that.)

Something came up and I had to make a quick trip to Taiwan by myself. Due to the trip being so short, we decided that I would just go by myself so we didn’t have to deal with kids with jet-lag.
I got the things taken care of, and got to spend some time with my cute niece and nephew and my family. Had some pretty good food and even went to the fish market to get some nice sushi home (yum!)
I had fun, but I was really sad that Jeannie and the kids didn’t go with me. Grandparents missed them too. Hopefully we can visit Taiwan again soon, together.

1. There’s a Farrell’s near us AND
2. You get free ice cream on your birthday
We felt obligated that we had to go pay them a visit…

The day is here! The combined Birthday party of Lorelai & Lance. Cousins/uncles/aunts came over to join in on the fun.
On the menu is shaving cream, candies, ice cream cake, food, and pool!
I can see this combined Birthday party thing is going to create a big problem once they have their own friends… Oh well, I guess we’ll just play it year to year. At least they had lots of fun, this year

Lance just turned 3 today, and it’s the 1st one at the new house! We are still busying unpacking everything, but are planning for a combined birthday party this weekend. Still, we feel bad not doing anything for Lance on his actual birthday. So I got a small cake after work, and kids sure loved it.

After 9 years at our 1st house, we have finally outgrown this wonderful house and moved on. Time really flies fast since I can still remember pretty clearly when we first moved it and started doing work to the house. Lorelai & Lance were born and spent their first years here. Nice & quiet community with very friendly neighbors, but it does have super hot and windy summers and our commute to work is really a big killer…
Since the timing seems right, we’ve decided to move to the city of Placentia, which is a lot closer to work, into an older but bigger house (after a painful 2 month search and another even more painful 2 month wait on court paperwork & renovations). We also got lucky that our Chino Hills house was sold not too long after we put it on the market (after 3 failed escrows). It was a process that we will not want to repeat any time soon, and hopefully never.
Thank you Sundance II of Chino Hills! We’ll miss you!

Bye Chino Hills! Thanks for the awesome memories!

Time really goes by so fast! Lance is a big boy now and today is his first day of preschool! We are sure that we’ll be hearing from school about his busy behaviors…
(And we learned later that day that he got lots of time-outs from the teacher…) That-a-boy?
